What "never leaves this computer" means

There's no database to breach, because there's no database — just files.

Your whole budget is two plain files, sitting in a folder on your PC. Not a metaphor — this is the actual storage.

Photograph a receipt and the app reads it right there on your machine, using a bundled offline text-reader. No image is ever uploaded, and no AI service ever sees it.

Imports your bank statement

Drop in a CSV from your bank or credit card. It maps the columns once, flags likely duplicates, and gets better at guessing categories the more you use it.
